Why And How I Became A Real Estate Agent – Part 7 (The Last Part!)

I had an epiphany and now I’m living the dream!

Crested Butte has treated my family well. My wife and I have a great relationship. My family is intact. We’ve enjoyed the dream. We have a wonderful life here. I first started in technology sales/sales management and material things were the most important thing to me. It was all about my career then. When I moved here to Crested Butte I got humbled with my wife and I did a lot of introspection about me.

I learned it’s not about me. It’s about serving other people. It’s about helping people, being there for my wife and my family, being there for my real estate clients and building a business based on trust, right?

I’ve learned to not say “me, me, me”. Instead I say, “How can I help YOU”?

Be credible, have authority and do the extra things so people will be attracted to you. Attract the right people for you. I’ve definitely filtered through a lot of people that I DIDN’T want to work with. But I found out that you can attract your dream clients. Don’t force the business, or you’re going to repel people. Just find what attracts them. Wake up every day and ask yourself what you’re going to do to add value to serve your clients.

Leverage technology. Leverage the fact that things are always changing. Combine your passions and the things you love from where you live and your passions with your family and integrate that into your business. It won’t feel like you’re working every day! And that’s how I feel. I’m now living the dream!

I had that epiphany that it wasn’t just about me and my career and making money. I now serve other people. Help other people. That’s how I became a top real estate agent and among the top agents in North America. I’m here for them. The most important thing for me is their satisfaction. I want to help my clients accomplish their goals with their real estate. I want it to be an unbelievable experience.

I don’t have a team. It’s just me. I’m a solo real estate agent. I do have my daughter working for me as the COO and a couple assistants that help with my systems I’ve put into place and the marketing. And you can do that too!! (Check out our Done For You Program)

I’m a real estate agent just like you, but a few years ago people were like what in the heck are you doing and how did you become so successful? …So I became a coach! I really want to help transform other people’s businesses and help make them successful too. I want to help make a change. I found what worked for me and want to share what I have learned.

So that’s my journey!

That’s how I became a real estate agent and a coach. I’m super excited about the journey we have and the things that we’re building. I want to over deliver. Add value up front. My goal is to help people so they can achieve their goals, whether it’s buying or selling real estate, or being a successful real estate agent in their markets so they can live the dream.
