If you’re anything like me you’re probably tired of outbound soliciting and cold calling. A lot of conventional wisdom is all about sales and cold calling without really focusing on marketing.
I don’t do any kind of cold calling. I have built my business through marketing and generating warm leads rather than cold leads. I want to interact with clients in a warm setting where they have an interest in what I’m talking about and my real estate market.
Yesterday I got a call from a prospective client, a lead that came to me. They had found me on the internet and decided to give me a call.
They said, “We are interested in your being our agent and selling our home.” In a very short period of time I understood their criteria, where their home was and why they were interested in selling their home.
Once we hung up I sent them a property valuation report, a copy of my monthly market report, and a copy of my book, The Complete Guide To Selling Your Mountain Home.
These are all marketing tools that I use and I get these leads because I took the time to create these tools.
The real game changer though is that I can use my monthly market report (that I’m publishing monthly anyways) and my book every time I get a new lead, so the content you create can be reused multiple times and your time goes a longer way (time efficiency).
It’s not just about attracting the clients to you it’s also about engaging with them once they reach out to you. These tools help me serve my clients at the highest level.
Not only do these tools help me serve my clients at the highest level, but they differentiate me above my competition and make me look like the expert because I went the extra mile to create this content in the first place.
Since the majority of the public does not trust real estate agents and soliciting is frowned on more and more every day – it baffles me soliciting is still being taught. This is not adjusting to the market and will not be sustainable long-term – especially if you want to work with luxury clients.
My job as a real estate agent is not to do a cold calling binge and interrupt people during family dinner time. I generate warm leads by creating very valuable and premium content which means I don’t have to do any outbound soliciting. I can simply engage with clients and serve clients because THAT is what my job as a real estate agent is.
Just like me, YOU are entirely capable of creating this premium content for the affluent clients in your market. And you will never have to do cold calling AGAIN!
