I can honestly say that I am living the dream as a real estate agent. Because I am in the top 1% of the 73,000 Coldwell Banker agents in North America and I get to live in a beautiful mountain resort area.
I get to attract affluent clients that want to do business with me. My passions and the things I like to do overlap with those of my dream clients.
But I started out as a brand new agent in 2009 and worked my way up to the top. Just like you can! I really enjoyed the hard work that it took to become a top agent and I still enjoy doing that hard work today. Because I get to see what I’ve gotten for it in return.
I don’t mess around with low-end transactions. I only do them if it’s very strategic in my business, but otherwise I’m referring it. This frees up time for me to spend with my affluent clients and to spend time with my family and I get to do the fun things I like to do in the summer and the winter.
You need to define what living the dream looks like for you. You need figure out what your end goal is and what you want to achieve.
Yes, it will be hard work to achieve that dream and get to the top. Nothing is easy. But it doesn’t feel like hard work for me because I enjoy doing it so much!
And I enjoy doing it so much because I’ve segmented the things that I want to work on and the things I’m good at and delegated the rest. It might sound impossible to you now but you too can align yourself with your dream clients, attract those affluent clients to you and live the dream!
