Going the Extra Mile For Your Clients

Sometimes serving your client at the highest level means doing thing you’d rather avoid. Like getting all wet and muddy in the crawlspace of a home.

I’ve been in that crawlspace for a client. They were thinking about buying this home two different times. But it had foundation issues and some water damage. But I was determined that I was going to serve my client at the highest level. I wanted to go the extra mile and do things that would help them when they needed it.

So I was down there looking at it based on the inspection. I was back there with a contractor looking at how we could remediate this and the cost of that. In the end we negotiated through the inspection objection and they ended up being very happy when they purchased the home.

AND THEN they used me as a real estate agent to sell another home they had. Down the road they were influential in $9 MILLION of incremental business. 

Something that I would not have gotten had it not been for the relationship I had with the client. I had this relationship because I went out of my way to serve my client at the highest level.

Now, you might be thinking, “Well I’m never going to go in a crawlspace and get all gross and muddy.” Fine. But do something that will differentiate you in how you serve your clients. 

If you don’t want to go down into the crawlspace make sure you send someone. Let your client know you sent someone down there to help them out.

Whatever it is that needs to be done, make sure you do the extra things to help your client with everything they need. Because every day you are either serving your clients at the highest level or you’re not. 

Make the decision today that from now on you are going to serve your clients at the highest level every single day!
