Outbound Soliciting Isn’t the Best Way to Generate Leads

If you think the only way to generate leads is outbound soliciting you are totally wrong. I don’t believe that cold calling for two or three hours in an afternoon is sustainable on an ongoing basis.

If you want to be successful you need to actually be generating business and serving your clients. You can’t be in two places at once and you aren’t focusing your time wisely.

Generating consistent content WILL attract your dream clients.

Here’s a great example of how generating online content directly got me a listing. I did a video interview with a luminary in my community one day. The day after I published it I got a call from a prospective seller.

They had seen the video and they said, “We want you to come and talk to us about listing our home.” So I went and visited with them. It wasn’t even an interview where they were considering me or comparing me to other real estate agents. They had already decided.

This was an over $2.1 MILLION transaction that I won because I was top of mind. 

I had their attention and interest through the online content that I had created and the video that they saw. It also helped that I had credibility and authority in my market because of the other valuable pieces of content that I have published. I had a reputation that preceded me so when these people asked around about me they got the thumbs up.

Some people feel like generating content is a waste of time but I guarantee it will give you credibility AND get you attention. This is the exact recipe you need for attracting affluent clients!
