Do the Dream Client Exercise in Your Market

One of the most important things you can do for your real estate business is do the dream client exercise in your market. The dream client exercise is how you identify who your dream client actually is. This is absolutely essential information if you want to be able to attract that dream client.

If you don’t even know what clients you’re supposed to be attracting and going after how can you create premium content that appeals to them? It’s impossible!

You need to define who your dream client is and really understand who they are. Think about that couple or that family that you want to attract. What do they look like? Where do they come from? Where do they want to live? What do they like to do in the community?

I recommend you choose a demographic that’s affluent because that is where you will find the high end transactions. When it comes to your dream client you have to especially consider their community and how they are involved in it. What associations, nonprofits, charity organizations and country clubs might they be a part of? What are all those things that they are doing in their community?

Once you have the answers to these questions you need to start thinking about how you can integrate yourself into that dream client environment. When I say this I don’t mean you becoming a different person to fit in. You have to remain genuine and authentic if you want these clients to know, like and trust you.

But think about where you and your passions overlap with those of your dream clients. What are certain things that you can align yourself with them? Then when you have that figured out you can go to events or do things where you will meet those people by being where they are. This is your offline strategy.

You can also start attracting more dream clients online now because you will now what information and content is of interest to them. Start publishing premium content that directly relates to their market and their community and you will be perceived as an expert!

When you do these things you are adding value, serving them and contributing to your community. Attract affluent clients and earn their trust by integrating yourself into your dream client environment and they will want to do business with you!
