I’m writing a new book called the niche marketing framework for real estate agents! It’s unfortunate that the Corona virus has caused us to be sequestered in our homes, but it has also given me an opportunity to work on my business and to work on this book. Hopefully in the next month or two my book will be available and I look forward to sharing it with you!
The purpose of my book is to assist you as a fellow real estate agent and help you think about your business a little bit differently. I wanted to share a couple of themes that I am planning to incorporate in my book with you here today. One of the quotes I emphasize throughout my book states, “you can’t do real estate business without real estate clients.” If you don’t have clients, then you don’t have a business and nothing else matters.
In your real estate business, you are the product and the service. If you learn how to attract affluent clients and serve them at the highest level, then you will have a sustainable real estate business. I truly believe having systems in place is one of the reasons I’ve been able to be successful. Early on, I tried a variety of strategies and some other things that brought me success.
I really believe in the herd theory, which is references how birds of a feather flock together. There are quite a few of examples that we see in nature, as well as in the human psychology and sociology that the theory applies to. So what’s this theory all about? If you watch a flock of birds, you’ll notice how they stick to their group and avoid commingling other bird species. Each flock is separate and they’re unique from the others. They move from point A to point B, migrating as one.
In my town, Crested Butte Colorado, there’s two kinds of birds that migrate here. During the summer time, hummingbirds travel all the way from Mexico or South America to my backyard here in the Rocky mountains and blue herons migrate a little before that. If you aren’t too familiar with hummingbirds, they are super small and they can beat their wings over 70 times per second! In real estate this idea applies to your tactics and how all your different tactics mesh together. If you’re putting in the work and effort by publishing and creating all of the digital content that has an influence on your clients, then you’re on the track to success.
At first when I became a real estate agent in Crested Butte, it was difficult for me to list a luxury home. I started preparing a market report, constructing a weekly newsletter, and publishing content to my website that correlated with what buyers and sellers were interested in. After proving myself an expert in my market, I had done the things I needed to do in order to earn the right to receive their business. Each component in your marketing plays an important role in earning you the most desirable listing or your dream clients. I hope this was insightful and inspirational, have an awesome day!
