Be Involved in Your Community AND Generate Content

I know I often point out single things that you can do to become a better real estate agent. But you’ll achieve the best results when you combine all of the systems I teach! You have to be involved in your community if you want to attract your affluent dream clients. But you also have to put that premium content out there!

There are so many things that you can do in your community that will help you win business and get people to trust you. I really enjoy the opportunity to be a part of a number of different nonprofits and I like supporting those. One of those is the Rotary Club. I get to participate and volunteer my time and effort as well as donating money from time to time. 

I had a brief interaction with a seller there. I didn’t know him very well but he was a member of the Rotary Club. So being involved in my community got me in the door! Then when it came down to selling the home however, his wife was making all the decisions.

So I sat down with her and her daughter-in-law and as I was giving my presentation I handed them my book. They were awestruck by the fact that I had written this book, The Complete Guide to Selling Your Mountain Dream Home. They were amazed and even asked me to sign the book at the time we had the listing presentation!

They were immediately convinced of my authority, my expertise and my credibility. Not only because of the book but because of the property valuation report, my market report and my monthly newsletters.

AUTHORS ARE EXPERTS AND EXPERTS ARE AUTHORS

It doesn’t matter whether it’s a full book, a market report, a newsletter or a blog post! Go and put your content out there. Make sure people see the knowledge you have and prove your authority to your dream clients!

So be involved in your community AND create the content your dream clients want. Think about what fits for you and what you feel comfortable doing and then get out there and DO IT!
